You can take the cable car to Monte, visit the Monte Palace Tropical Garden and the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte (18th century) and go down on a wicker sleigh ride known as Monte Tobogans. 

You can also take a guided Tuk Tuk tour, a hop-on hop-off bus ride from Funchal to Câmara de Lobos, dolphin and whale watching on a catamaran or a guided safari tour in a 4X4 on a private tour around Madeira Island.

Madeira has many levadas such as Levada das 25 Fontes, Levada do Risco, Levada do Caldeirão Verde, Levada do Rei, Levada do Norte, Levada dos Maroços, Levada do Alecrim and Levada do Furado.
